True Bread

Our fathers did eat manna in the desert;

He gave them bread from heaven to eat

But they said, What sign shewest thou then,

that we may see now, and believe?

 

Then He said, Verily, verily, I say unto you,

The bread my father giveth this day is true

For the bread of God is he which cometh from heaven,

And giveth life to the sincerely unleavened

 

I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger;

I am the bread of life: he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will

 

What sign shewest thou,

that we may see now, and believe?

He went about the cities teaching

And curing every sickness and disease
